Efektivitas Blended Learning untuk Meningkatkan Motivasi Belajar
Blended Learning is an innovation and solution for education during the Covid-19 pandemic. Blended learning plays an important role in providing learning flexibility in terms of time and place. Through blended learning, students can learn according to their rhythm. Improving the quality of education in the digital era requires an innovative and effective learning model. Blended learning combines face-to-face learning with online learning in the hope of increasing student learning motivation. This blended learning on the one hand provides an understanding of the current learning system or pattern, namely by means of an online system so that it is more in line with the times. Blended learning is 40% face-to-face learning and 60% online. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of blended learning in increasing student learning motivation at UIN Suska Riau. The study population was all students of the Economic Education Study Program at UIN Suska Riau with a sample of 143 students. Learning motivation data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical tests, namely the normality test, homogeneity test, and paired sample t-test. The results showed that blended learning had a significant effect on students' learning motivation at UIN Suska Riau.
The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of the blended learning model and the level of student motivation in participating in Blended Learning at Uin Suska Riau. And the method in this study uses quantitative descriptive research.
This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach with data collection methods through questionnaires and observations. The population of 300 students of the Department of Economic Education with a 10% error rate using the Isaac and Michael tables, namely a sample of 143 students. And the sampling technique is taken randomly. Learning motivation data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical tests, namely the normality test using the SPSS application obtained a significant value of 0.119> 0.05, it can be said that the data from the population is normally distributed. And the Homogeneity Test using the test of homogeneity of variance obtained a significant value of 0.107> 0.05, this means that the data used in the study is homogeneous.
The results of the study showed that the learning motivation of students majoring in economics education at the initial stage (pretest) was in the moderate category, with an average score of 38.23. After the implementation of blended learning (posttest), students' learning motivation increased significantly to the high category, with an average score of 52.05. Then, the results of the paired sample t-test showed a significant value of 0.000, which was smaller than the critical criterion of 0.05, indicating a significant difference between students' learning motivation at the pretest and posttest stages. This study provides a significant contribution to the implementation of blended learning in improving students' learning motivation at UIN Suska Riau. The results of this study can be a reference for lecturers and educational institutions in developing more effective and innovative learning strategies, as well as providing new references in developing learning in educational institutions.
The results of the blended learning model research are very good and suitable for use in various learning, especially economic learning. Therefore, lecturers need to improve more varied learning models according to the needs and conditions of students, therefore students are easier to understand and comprehend if lecturers can deliver lessons according to what their students want. The better the learning model that lecturers use, the more their learning outcomes will increase. And the better the learning model used, the more their learning motivation will increase, for that teachers and parents must work together in controlling the student's learning environment, both the learning environment at school, the family learning environment and the learning environment in the community.
