Serapan P Dan Pertumbuhan Bibit Kelapa Sawit (Elaeis Guineensis Jacq) Di Pre Nursery Akibat Pemberian Fungi Mikoriza Arbuskula Dan Kompos Solid Pada Tanah Ultisol
One of the problems that occurs in Ultisol soil is the low availability of P
because it is bound by bonds of Al, Fe and clay minerals. The application of
arbuscular mycorrhiza and solid compost to Ultisol soil in the pre-nursery is very
important to increase nutrient uptake and growth of oil palm seedlings. The aim of
this research is to study the response of P uptake and growth of oil palm seedlings
in pre-nursery on Ultisol soil applied with arbuscular mycorrhiza and solid
compost.
This research used a factorial design (two factors) arranged in a
Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The first factor is arbuscular mycorrhiza
which consists of 4 levels (0 g/polybag, 10 g/polybag, 15 g/polybag and 20
g/polybag), and the second factor is solid compost which consists of 4 levels (0
g/polybag, 200 g/polybag, 300 g/polybag and 400 g/polybag). The observation
parameters consisted of root infection, shoot P uptake, shoot P content, soil pH,
C-organic, Al-dd, seed height, number of leaves, seed diameter, seed wet weight,
seed dry weight. The data obtained were analyzed statistically using Analysis of
Variance (ANOVA), then tested further using the Duncan Multiple Range Test
(DMRT) 5%.
The results of the research showed that the interaction of arbuscular
mycorrhiza with solid compost, the higher the dose, both increased the pH and Corganic
values and the greater the decrease in Al-dd values. The interaction of
arbuscular mycorrhiza at a dose of 15 g/polybag with solid compost at a dose of
300 resulted in the highest increase in the percentage of root infection and number
of leaves, while shoot P uptake at the interaction of arbuscular mycorrhiza at a
dose of 20 g/polybag with 400 grams of solid compost/polybag and the interaction
of arbuscular mycorrhiza at a dose 10 g/polybag or 20 g/polybag with solid
compost dose of 400 g/polybag produces an increase highest for observing seed
height, seed diameter and seed dry weight compared to without treatment.
