Analisis Perubahan Morfologi Sungai Indragiri Menggunakan Citra Satelit Dangoogle Earth Engine (Gee)
ABSTRACT
The Indragiri River in Riau Province is a river with many meanders. Such river morphological conditions cause water flow to slide into certain areas, causing landslides on riverbanks and potentially threatening the survival of the surrounding community. Google Earth Engine is a platform that can facilitate research related to changes in river morphology. This research aims to analyze changes in the morphology of Indragiri River and the hydraulics behavior that occurs in the upper, middle and lower reaches of the river. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method by utilizing ArcGIS 10.8 software for overlay analysis and spatial analysis in order to obtain erosion and deposition areas and migration rates that occur in the Indragiri River flow during the period 1989-2023. Secondary data used in the form of Landsat 5, 7, and 8 satellite images obtained from the GEE platform in the form of river channel change data in 1989-2023. The results showed that Indragiri River has experienced morphological changes in the upstream, middle and downstream segments of the river due to erosion and deposition processes within 34 years, causing the river flow to shift. In 1989-2000, the largest erosion and deposition areas occurred in the middle segment of 40,605 Ha and 21,893 Ha, and the largest migration rate occurred in the downstream segment of 8,108 m/year with a distance of 89,186 m shift. In the range of 2000-2010, the largest erosion and deposition areas also occurred in the middle segment of 30,311 Ha and 76,152 Ha and the largest migration rate occurred in the middle segment of 66,183 m / year with a distance of 661,830 m shift. In the range of 2010-2023, the largest erosion area occurred in the downstream segment of 41,391 Ha and the largest deposition was in the middle segment of 23,592 Ha, and the largest migration rate occurred in the upstream segment of 9,649 m / year with a distance of 125,435 m shift.
