Identifikasi Jenis Dan Kelimpahan Sampah Lautpada Kawasan Ekowisata Mangrove Sungai Bersejarah Di Desa Kayu Ara Permai kecamatan Sungai Apit Kabupaten Siak
Marine waste is persistent solid material, which is discarded and left in the marine
environment or also comes from waste originating from residential activities in
coastal areas which are carried by floods flowing to coastal areas and the sea, but
in the end the waste will be exposed to coastal areas carried by Mangrove forests
have benefits and an important role in maintaining coastal ecosystems, apart from
that, mangrove forests are also under pressure from various other activities such as
waste pollution. This research aims to determine the type and summary based on
size, quantity, weight and density of marine debris. Kayu Ara Permai Village is
one of the villages in Sungai Apit sub-district which has a mangrove ecotourism
area called the Historic River Mangrove. This research was carried out from
December 2023 to January 2024. This research used a survey method, while
determining the location using a purposive sampling method while the sampling
technique used was line transects. Based on the results of data analysis, 6 types of
macrodebris-sized marine waste were found, dominated by 531 items of plastic
waste with a density value of 0.59 items/m2. The heaviest type of marine waste is
wood, amounting to 9,800 g with a density of 10.89 g/m2. These findings indicate
that the Mengrove River Historic ecotourism area is polluted by marine debris.
The total marine debris found was 599 items with a total weight of 22.020 g.
