Efektivitas Daun Mengkudu (Morinda Citrifolia) Sebagai Insektisida Nabati Terhadap Hama Kutu Putih (Paracoccus Marginatus)
ABSTRACT
Acacia crassicarpa is widely cultivated in Industrial Plantation Forests (HTI) due to its fast growth and suitability as pulp raw material. However, Paracoccus marginatus is a pest known to infest acacia nurseries at PT. RAPP, causes chlorosis and sooty mold, significantly reducing seedling productivity. Effective pest management is crucial for producing optimal seedling. and botanical insecticides derived from natural ingredients, such as Morinda citrifolia, offer a promising solution. This study aims to evaluate the efficacy of Morinda citrifolia extract as a botanical insecticide of controlling Paracoccus marginatus and to identify the optimal concentration for maximizing Paracocus marginatus mortality. A completely randomized design (CRD) was employed, consisting of four treatments with different concentrations of Morinda citrifolia leaf extract (30 g/l, 40 g/l, 50 g/l, and 60 g/l) each replicated three times. The observed parameters included the time of initial death, Lethal Time 50 (LT₅₀), and total mortality percentage. The results indicated that the used of Morinda citrifolia leaf extract of 60 g/l was the most effective, achieving a total mortality rate of 100% for Paracoccus marginatus
