Analisis Strategi Pengembangan Industri Tahu Di Desa Rambung Merah Kecamatan Siantar

ABSTRACT
The tofu industry is a small-scale industry that is growing rapidly in Indonesia along with population growth, one of which is in North Sumatra Province, Simalungun Regency, Siantar District, precisely Rambung Merah Village. The tofu industry in Rambung Merah Village is a small-scale business that has the potential to be developed. This can be seen from the number of tofu demand that is increasing every year where this situation is very favorable for the tofu industry so that the tofu industry is challenged to be able to meet the demand of these consumers. This study aims to obtain alternative development strategies for the best development strategy in the tofu industry in Rambung Merah Village, Siantar District by using the SWOT method and QSPM Matrix. The application of the SWOT method obtained the results of internal analysis including 6 strength factors and 4 weakness factors, while external analysis obtained 4 opportunity factors and 5 threat factors. The quadrant coordinate point in the tofu industry is in quadrant I with an X value of 2.475 and a Y value of 1.639. Analysis using the SWOT matrix shows that there are 8 alternative strategies for the development of the tofu industry in Rambung Merah Village, Siantar District. The next stage analyzes the priorities of the strategy using the QSPM matrix. The strategic priorities obtained are to take advantage of strategic locations to expand marketing by increasing consumer interest in products by making new innovations according to consumer interest with a TAS value of 5,700 and increasing production and product quality to retain existing consumers and acquire new consumers with a TAS value of 5,651.
