Analisis Kemiskinan Multidimensi Di Kabupaten Rokan Hulu Provinsi Riau Tahun 2023
ABSTRACT
Riau Province is part of Sumatra Island which also faces similar challenges related to poverty. The poverty rate in Riau is ranked 23rd highest out of 38 provinces in Indonesia, one of the regencies in Riau Province with a high poverty rate is Rokan Hulu Regency, with the second highest poverty rate in Riau after the Meranti Islands in 2023, which is 9.72 percent. The objectives of this study are: 1) Identifying the characteristics of multidimensional poverty in households in deciles 1 to 4 in Rokan Hulu Regency, 2) Analyzing multidimensional poverty in Rokan Hulu Regency, 3) Analyzing the relationship between the characteristics of multidimensional poverty and the level of multidimensional poverty in Rokan Hulu Regency. The method used in this study is a descriptive research method with a quantitative approach. The population of this study was households in deciles 1 to 4 totaling 11,124 according to P3KE data in 2023. The data analysis techniques used included descriptive analysis, the Alkire-Foster method, and Spearman's rank correlation. The results of the study showed that the highest deprivation in households occurred in three indicators, namely the risk of stunting, education of the head of the family, and the quality of the walls of the house. Alkire-Foster analysis showed that the Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) in Rokan Hulu Regency in 2023 was 0.007839902 or 0.78 percent with households experiencing deprivation in 4 to 5 indicators. Spearman's rank correlation analysis found that 4 of the 11 indicators had a negative relationship to multidimensional poverty.
