This study discusses personal skills towards marketing crystal guava by
farmers and traders in Kampung Perawang Indah, Tualang, Siak Regency. The
problem raised is how personal skills affect marketing crystal guava in terms of
marketing managerial aspects, customer satisfaction, self-management, and social
skills. In addition, this study examines the extent of personal skills of farmers and
traders in marketing crystal guava.
This study aims to: (1) To determine and analyze the level of marketing of
crystal guava by farmers and traders in Kampung Perawang Indah, Tualang, Siak
Regency. (2) To determine and analyze the level of personal skills of farmers and
traders of crystal guava in Kampung Perawang Indah, Talang, Siak Regency. (3) To
determine and analyze the influence of personal skills on the marketing of crystal
guava by farmers and traders in Kampung Perawang Indah, Tualang, Siak Regency.
This type of research uses an ex-post facto quantitative method, where
the independent variable in the form of personal skills has occurred previously. The
population in this study were farmers who trade and vice versa traders who trade in
Kampung Perawang Indah, with a sample of 97 respondents, taken using a simple
random sampling technique with a 5% error rate. Data were collected from farmers
and traders of crystal guava in Kampung Perawang Indah, Tualang, Siak Regency.
Data collection methods involve, observation of interactions between farmers and
traders, questionnaires to measure personal skills and marketing of crystal guava,
documentation in the form of photos. The research instrument consists of two forms
of questionnaires: (1) personal skills, and (2) Marketing of crystal guava. Data
analysis techniques use descriptive statistics to provide general, and inferential
statistics to measure the relationship between variables.
There is a significant positive influence between personal skills (X) on
marketing (Y) which has a large influence of 15.2%, meaning 84.8% is influenced by
other factors not included in this study. The higher the personal skills (X) on
marketing crystal guava by farmers and traders in Kampung Perawang Indah,
Tualang, Siak Regency can be done by increasing personal skills that are much
better. This study states that the personal skills of farmers and traders affect the
marketing of crystal guava.
Based on the results of the study, it is recommended that farmers and
traders in Kampung Perawang Indah, Tualang, Siak Regency influence personal
skills that increase the marketing of crystal guava. Farmers and traders are also
expected to be able to improve their personal skills in order to further increase
marketing.
