Posyandu is one form of community-based health efforts that has an important
role in improving maternal and child health in Indonesia. However, the effectiveness of
Posyandu services is highly dependent on the perception and participation of the
community, especially mothers of toddlers. At Posyandu Anggrek Kampung Perawang
Indah, Tualang District, Siak Regency, Riau Province, an evaluation is needed
regarding the perception of mothers of toddlers towards the integrated services
provided to ensure optimal service quality. The formulation of the problem in this
study is How high is the level of perception of mothers of toddlers towards integrated
services at Posyandu Anggrek Kampung Perawang Indah, Tualang District, Siak
Regency, Riau Province?
The purpose of this study was to measure the level of perception of mothers of
toddlers towards integrated services at Posyandu Anggrek Kampung Perawang Indah,
Tualang District, Siak Regency, Riau Province. The type of research in this study is
descriptive survey research with a quantitative approach. The population in this study
were mothers of toddlers who were members of Posyandu Anggrek consisting of 107
mothers of toddlers. Sampling was carried out using the Simple Random Sampling
method, so that a sample of 85 respondents was obtained with an error rate of 5%
based on the Slovin Formula. The instrument trial was conducted on 30 mothers of
toddlers at Posyandu Harapan Hati Kampung Perawang Indah.
The method of data collection in this study was to distribute questionnaires to
respondents using a 5-answer Likert scale. The instrument in this study consisted of a
questionnaire containing statements of mothers' perceptions of toddlers towards
integrated services at the integrated health post. The research instrument consisted of
a questionnaire that measured five indicators of integrated services, namely: (1)
Reliability, (2) Responsiveness, (3) Assurance, (4) Empathy, and (5) Physical evidence.
The research instrument went through several stages, namely: 1) reviewing all theories
related to the variables to be studied, 2) compiling indicators from variables, 3)
compiling grids, 4) compiling statement items and determining measurement scales, 5)
instrument trials, 6) item analysis by testing the validity and reliability of each
statement item. The data obtained in this study were related to the numbers that
caused the use of descriptive statistical analysis techniques and conducting hypothesis
testing using one sample t-tests.
The results of the study showed a mean perception value of 4.0564 with a
standard deviation of 0.32930, indicating a fairly consistent data distribution. Overall,
the perception of mothers of toddlers towards integrated services at Posyandu Anggrek
is in the high category with a score of 81.30. Based on the indicators, empathy obtained
the highest score (83.58), followed by physical evidence (83.01), assurance (81.60),
responsiveness (80.23), and reliability (79.44). The study also revealed variations in
perception based on respondent characteristics. However, no completely consistent
pattern was found that perception always increased with age, education level, or
number of children. Although groups with higher education and more children tend to
have higher perception scores, there are variations in each category indicating that
other factors also play a role in shaping respondents' perceptions of Posyandu Anggrek
services. The results of the hypothesis test showed a significance value of 0.000
(t-table 1.663), indicating that the perceptions of
mothers of toddlers were statistically significantly higher than the average comparison
value.
This study concluded that integrated services at Posyandu Anggrek Kampung
Perawang Indah have been well perceived by mothers of toddlers, with an overall score
of 81.30 (high category). This indicates that Posyandu Anggrek has succeeded in
providing services that meet most of the service standards and exceed expectations. To
further improve the quality of services, the study recommends improving facilities,
more effective socialization of the benefits of Posyandu, training of Posyandu cadres,
and program innovations to make them more attractive to mothers of toddlers. With
the implementation of these recommendations, it is hoped that it can increase
community participation in maternal and child health programs and improve the
overall health of the community.
