Hubungan Kecukupan Asupan Gizi Dengan Kejadian Anemia Pada Siswi SMA Negeri 4 Di Kecamatan Marpoyan Damai Kota Pekanbaru
According to the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2023, anemia is a global health problem and commonly experienced by women of reproductive age. Based on the Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) in 2018, the prevalence of anemia in Indonesia reached 32%. This study aimed to determine the relationship between adequate nutritional intake and the incidence of anemia among female high school students in Marpoyan Damai District, Pekanbaru City. The study was conducted at SMA Negeri 4 Pekanbaru, located in Marpoyan Damai District, using a cross- sectional design. The research subjects were X grade female students, with a sample size of 45 students selected through simple random sampling. Dietary intake data was obtained using a 2x24 hour food recall questionnaire, and hemoglobin levels were measured using a hemoglobin meter. Bivariate analysis using the independent t-test and Mann-Whitney U test. The result showed that 13,3% of the students experienced anemia. Analysis of the intake of carbohydrates (p = 0,483), fats (p = 0,071), protein (p = 0,151), iron (p = 0,483), folate (p = 0,903), vitamin B12 (p = 0,092), and vitamin C (p = 0,664) in relation to the incidence of anemia indicated no significant association (p>0,05). It can be concluded that the prevalence of anemia is 13,3%, and there is no significant relationship between nutritional intake with the incidence of anemia in SMA Negeri 4 Pekanbaru female students.
