Komposisi Hasil Tangkapan Gombang Di Perairan Kelurahan Sungai Apit Kecamatan Sungai Apit Kabupaten Siak Provinsi Riau

This research was conducted in March 2023 in Sungai Apit Village, Sungai Apit District, Siak Regency, Riau Province. The study aims to analyze the gombang fishing technique, the construction of the fishing gear, and the oceanographic conditions of the waters, including current velocity, salinity, and temperature. Additionally, this research evaluates the catch composition of gombang fishing gear, which consists of the main catch, bycatch, and discards. The method used in this study was experimental fishing with gombang fishing gear, which is static and relies on tidal currents in the Siak River estuary. This gear consists of stakes, ropes, arms, wings, a mouth, a body, floats, sinkers, and a final catch bag. Catch collection was carried out four times a day for 15 days. The results showed that the average current velocity was 0.1172 m/s, with a salinity of 6.9‰. Water temperature ranged from 29.5°C during the day to 26.7°C at night. The total catch during the study reached 217.68 kg, consisting of various species such as Acetes japonicus, Macrobrachium rosenbergii, and Penaeus merguiensis. Additionally, the organic waste caught amounted to 32.98 kg, while inorganic waste reached 16.61 kg.
