Patriarchal culture is a social system in society that places men as rulers or a more dominant gender. Gender discrimination often occurs against women as an impact of patriarchal culture. The Gadis Kretek series raises the theme of feminism and social conflict that occurred in the 1960s which was revealed in 2002. This study aims to describe the forms of gender discrimination found in the Gadis Kretek series, namely stereotypes, marginalization, subordination, violence, and workload and to describe the form of women's resistance to gender discrimination (resistance) namely verbal and non-verbal forms. The research method used by the researcher is qualitative descriptive research. The results found stereotypes, marginalization, subordination, and violence. The figure of Dasiyah succeeded in eliminating gender discrimination in society at that time by proving that kretek made by women was not sour.
