Pengaruh Biochar Dan Pupuk N, P, K Terhadap Pertumbuhan Dan Produksi Tanaman Kedelai (Glycine Max L. Merrill)
ABSTRACT
Soybeans (Glycine max L. Merrill) are one of the most important food crops, rich in plant-based protein. However, domestic production does not yet meet national demand, due to various factors such as land conversion and low soil fertility. One approach is to incorporate organic materials like biochar, which is the pyrolysis product of agricultural waste such as rice husks, containing nutrients and capable of improving soil physical, chemical, and biological properties. This study aims to investigate the effects of biochar and N, P, K fertilizer interactions on soybean growth and yield, and to determine the optimal dose combination. The study was conducted using a completely randomized factorial design (CDR), consisting of two factors: biochar (B) at doses of 0 ton/ha (B0), 2 t.ha-1 (B1), 4 t.ha-1 (B2), dan 6 t.ha-1 (B3), and N, P, K fertilizer at doses of Urea 25 kg.ha-1, TSP 50 kg.ha-1, KCl 50 kg.ha-1 (N1), Urea 25 kg.ha-1, TSP 50 kg.ha-1, KCl 50 kg.ha-1 (N2), Urea 25 kg.ha-1, TSP 50 kg.ha-1, KCl 50 kg.ha-1 (N3). There were 12 treatment combinations with three replications. All data obtained in this study were analyzed using the honest significant difference test (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction between biochar and N, P, K fertilizers had a significant effect on the number of pods, seed weight per plant, and 100-seed weight. Biochar at a dose of 4 tons/ha and N, P, K fertilizers at doses of 50 kg/ha, 100 kg/ha, and 100 kg/ha provided optimal soybean growth and production. The use of biochar and appropriate fertilization can improve soil fertility and enhance soybean crop production efficiency.
