Uji Konsentrasi Ekstrak Daun Ketapang (Terminalia Catappa L.) Terhadap Mortalitas Ulat Grayak Jagung (Spodoptera Frugiperda J.E. Smith) Di Laboratorium
ABSTRACT
Corn is a food crop that contains lots of carbohydrates, fat and high protein. The decline in corn plant productivity is caused by attacks by plant pests and one of them is the corn armyworm. S. frugiperda attacks parts of corn plants that are growing. The research was carried out experimentally, using a completely randomized design (CRD), consisting of 5 treatments and 5 replications. The treatments given were concentrations of 0 g.l-1 water, 25 g.l-1 water, 50 g.l-1 water, 75 g.l-1 water and 100 g.l-1 water of ketapang leaf extract. Observation parameters consist of initial time of death, lethal time 50, lethal concentration (LC50 and LC95), daily mortality, total mortality, changes in behavior and morphology, temperature and humidity. Daily mortality data obtained from the research results were analyzed descriptively and displayed in the form of images, data on initial time of death, lethal time 50, and total mortality were analyzed statistically by analysis of variance with SAS, the results of the analysis were further tested with Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at the 5% level. Data on lethal concentrations 50 and 95 were analyzed probit using the POLO-PC program. Application of ketapang leaf extract at a concentration of 100 g.l-1 water is an effective concentration in controlling Spodoptera frugiperda larvae because it is able to cause a total mortality of 82% with an initial death time of 20.40 hours after application and a lethal time of 50 (LT50) at 70.20 hours after application.
