Rancang Bangun Pengendali Motor Induksi 3 Fasa Menggunakan Plc Via Smartphone
ABSTRACT
This study aims to design and implement a three-phase induction motor control system based on PLC and HMI as a learning medium for the Practical Course on Electric Motor Control. The system is assembled on an acrylic board mounted on a welded and painted metal frame, consisting of key components such as a PLC, HMI, contactors, TOR, and a three-phase induction motor. The PLC functions as the central controller, receiving inputs from the HMI and push buttons, then executing output commands to the contactors based on pre-programmed logic. The HMI serves as the user interface and can be accessed via a touchscreen or a smartphone using the Haiwell Cloud application.
Testing was conducted on several operating modes, including forward, reverse, star-delta forward, and star-delta reverse. The results showed that the system performed as expected, with a stable operating current of 1 Ampere and a 3 Ampere inrush current during star-mode starting, which remained within safe limits. The transition from star to delta occurred smoothly without faults. The system proved to be effective, safe, and capable of real-time remote monitoring and control. Therefore, the developed tool is considered suitable for use as a practical learning aid in motor control systems using PLC and HMI.
