Identifikasi Dan Analisis Jejak Karbon Dari Aktivitas Head Office Pt Bumitama Gunajaya Agro
ABSTRACT
Global warming caused by increased concentrations of greenhouse gases (GHGs)
requires mitigation efforts from various sectors, including the office sector. This
study aims to identify and analyze the carbon footprint generated from the direct
and indirect activities of the Head Office of PT Bumitama Gunajaya Agro, located
in South Jakarta. The method used refers to the Greenhouse Gas Protocol with
emissions classified into three scopes: scope 1 consists of direct emissions, namely
the use of generators and domestic wastewater treatment; scope 2 consists of
indirect emissions from electricity consumption; and scope 3 consists of other
indirect emissions, namely employee transportation, business travel, and domestic
waste treatment. Emissions calculations were performed using the IPCC Tier 1
approach, converted to CO₂e units. The study results indicate that the total GHG
emissions generated from all activities at the Head Office of PT Bumitama
Gunajaya Agro in 2024 amounted to 1,665,041.15 kgCO₂e. The highest emissions
were generated from electricity consumption at 1,016,053.49 kgCO₂e, while the
lowest emissions came from generator use at 223.96 kgCO₂e. Based on these
findings, a scenario for emission reduction action plans was developed using
carbon certificates from PLN, such as SPE-GRK and REC, which can claim a
reduction of 542 tons of CO₂e, as well as the creation of a GHG calculator to
support Indonesia's national target of reducing emissions by 31.89% by 2030.
