Analisis Keberlanjutan Usaha Budidaya Pembibitan Ikan Lele Di Desa Hang Tuah, Kecamatan Perhentian Raja, Kabupaten Kampar, Riau
ABSTRACT
This study discusses the sustainability of catfish (Clarias sp.) breeding
businesses in Hang Tuah Village, Perhentian Raja Subdistrict, Kampar Regency,
Riau. This study employs a quantitative descriptive approach. The study population
consists of the entire catfish production in Hang Tuah Village, totaling 220
individuals, with a sample size of 69 respondents selected using Purposive
Sampling technique. The results of this study indicate an average production of
66,188 fish per cycle, with total revenue of Rp 7,942,609 and total production costs
of Rp 4,664,077, resulting in an average net income of Rp 3,278,532. This indicates
significant profitability and warrants further development. Labor elasticity of
approximately 4.15 indicates that a 1% increase in the number of workers will
increase production output by approximately 4.15%, indicating that this business is
labor-intensive. However, labor productivity decreased slightly from 91,668 to
83,668 fish per person, despite increased production, indicating that the growth
rate of labor is greater than the growth rate of production. Overall, the
sustainability index value for fish farming in Hang Tuah Village is 72.91, which
falls into the moderately sustainable category. Fish farming in Hang Tuah Village
has significant potential for sustainable development, particularly in social and
environmental aspects. However, improvements in marketing strategies, community
training, and adaptation to climate change are essential to ensure long-term
sustainability and optimize economic benefits.
