pengembangan modul ajar menulis teks anekdot berbantuan cerita rakyat yong dollah siswa kelas x sekolah menengah kejuruan
Development of a Teaching Module for Writing An-ecdotal Texts Using the Yong Dollah Folklore for Tenth Grade Vocational High School Students. Supervised by Hasnah Faizah and Elmustian.
This research aims to develop a teaching module for writing anecdotal texts using the Yong Dollah folklore as contextual teaching material for tenth-grade voca-tional high school (SMK) students. The primary goal of this module development is to enhance students’ writing skills through a culturally relevant approach, while also preserving the cultural heritage of the Malay Bengkalis community.
This study employs the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The module was designed using the Yong Dollah folklore, which is rich in humor and so-cial satire, aligning with the characteristics of anecdotal texts. In the Analysis stage, a needs assessment was conducted with teachers and students regarding a culturally integrated writing module. The Design stage focused on aligning the learning com-ponents with the Learning Outcomes (CP) of the Merdeka Curriculum. In the Devel-opment stage, a module draft was created and validated by language, content, and media experts. The validation results indicated the module was highly feasible with minor revisions.
The Implementation stage involved limited trials at two vocational schools in Pekanbaru—SMK Muhammadiyah 2 and SMK Multi Mekanik Masmur. Students showed enthusiasm and active participation during the lessons. The Evaluation stage included pretest and posttest assessments, which demonstrated significant improve-ment in students’ ability to write anecdotal texts. Both teachers and students gave positive feedback, noting that the module was engaging, easy to understand, and cul-turally reflective.
The results show that this teaching module is not only effective in improving students’ writing skills but also strengthens cultural identity and local wisdom through the integration of the Yong Dollah folklore. Therefore, the module can serve as an alternative contextual and inspirational teaching material in Indonesian lan-guage education at the vocational high school level.
