Peranankomoditi Gambir Terhadap Perekonomian Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota Provinsi Sumatera Barat

This research was carried out in the Lima Puluh Kota Regency with the aim of knowing and analysing the role of the commodity gambir towards the economy of the
Lima Puluh Kota Regency (the sector of agriculture, sub the sector of the plantation,
PDRB and the export).
The kind and the source of the data that was used in this research were the secondary
data that was received from agencies or agencies that were connected with this research and did intervieu with related agencies. The analysis method of the data that
was used in this research was by using the analysis that was descriptive that is analysing the data with researched, gathered, processed, afterwards took the conclusion.
From results of the research was known that the commodity gambir played a role
towards the economy of the Lima Puluh Kota Regency, where from the sector of commodity agriculture gambir gave the contribution that always increased, from sub
the sector of the commodity plantation gambir gave the relative contribution increased, was seen from the domestic product regional gross (PDRB) the commodity
gambir gave the positive contribution but also experienced the increase and the export contribution gambir against the domestic product regional gross (PDRB) gave
the positive and fluctuating contribution. In connection with this matter then was suggested by Regional Government fifty Kota to maintain the commodity gambir as
the promoter of the economy, so as to have the role that was again better towards the
economy of the Lima Puluh Kota Regency.
