This paper discusses the safety of machinery and the risk assessment of potential occupational hazards involving engine . Any accidents that occur can inhibit the activities of the company, so they need for a safety system to prevent accidents. By using job safety analysis and risk assessment, any potential hazards are in a job that involves heavy machinery or tools are identified and assessed the opportunities and the severity of the danger. Analysis and assessment of the risk of using the machine work needs to be done to be able to do preventive measures and countermeasures in case of accidents. From the identification proses there are 26 hazard results identified of 7 activity that using heavy equipment machines in this project. Then, from the results of the risk assessment (risk assessment) is known there are 7 potential hazards that have the highest rating of the overall assessment of existing potential with a value rating 4. Analysis of safety and risk assessment is useful to create a safe working environment and ergonomics as well as conducive to a construction project work.
