Gambaran Kemampuan Membaca Anak Usia 5-6 Tahun Di Taman Kanak-Kanak Terpadu Tunas Bangsa Kelurahan Kampung Rempak Kecamatan Siak Kabupaten Siak
The background of this research is seen that the children are able to mention the letter symbols are known, but in the aspect of reading his own name and the name of the image, only a few people who are able to carry out in accordance with the indicators of achievement expected, while most children are not able in reading with full name andread the name of the image. The purpose of this study is to describe the child’s reading abilily. This research isa descriptive study with a quantitative approach. Subject of this research werel5 children. The data in this study is primary data. Collecting data using observation techniques. Based on observations obtained reading skills of children in general was 54.3% and included the category of medium. For each of thesea spects of reading ability were able to mention in the letter symbols known gained 75% on average, children are able to connect sounds with letters/letter sequence obtained 56.7% on average, children are able to categorize words that sound syllables beginning each gained an average of 56.7%, was able to read his own name with full gained an average of43. 3%, and the child is able to read the name of the image that has] -2 words gained an average of 40916. It can be concluded that most low in reading skills of children are children able to ready mages nam hasl-2 words with an average of 40%, and the most dominant is the child able to mention in symbols known to the average 75%.
