Penyisihan Kadar Logam Fe Dan Mn Pada Air Gambut Dengan Pemanfaatan Geopolimer Dari Kaolin Sebagai Adsorben
Geopolymer based on kaolin was used for adsorbent in this research to remove ferrum and manganese from peat water with adsorption process. Geopolymer is kind of syinthetic compound which made by synthesizing alumino and silicate materials and known have similarity with zeolit. The variables used in this research are ratio alkaline activator per kaolin to made goepolymer and adsorbent dosage to analyzed the efficiency of removal ferrum and manganese from peat water. Results showed that the ratio alkaline aktivator 0,2 with using 2,5 gram adsorbent dosage have the highest efficiency of removing, 85,67 % for ferrum and 77,55 % for manganese. This results also showed that geopolyper based on kaolin have excelence ability to removing ferrum and manganese from peat water. Keyword: Peat water, Geopolymer, Kaolin, Ratio, Ferrum, Manganese
