Analisis Usaha Penangkapan Jaring Insang Dasar (Bottom Gillnet) Dan Pengembangannya Di Kota Dumai

This research was conducted on January 2016 at Dumai Fishing Port with the aim to arrange the direction development of gillnet fishing that was done by fisherman with survey methods in Dumai. The results showed that the fishing of bottom gillnet was suitable base on availability of materials, personnels, market opportunities and business interests. The average value of its are about 3,67. Financially, it suitable to be developed with investment cost about Rp 93.122.400. BCR value is 1,45 with the value of FRR (32,00 %) higher than the bank rate (7,25%). The value of PPC (payback period of capital) is 3,28 years. Bottom gillnet can be maintained and developed with improve the fishing vessel, the addition of fishing gear, provision of navigational tools, and cold storage. The conclusion of this research, the fishing of bottom gillnet was suitable base on bussines development and financial analysis.
