Penentuan Kinerja Bahan Bakar Solar Yang Diolah Dengan Adsorben Arang Tempurung Kelapa Dan Arang Kayu Pada Kompor Tungku Sumbu Minyak Tanah
In general, kerosene is used as a fuel stove fired furnace, but the price of kerosene is very expensive 1 liter Rp 10000, -. Solar can be used as an alternative fuel substitute for kerosene for a furnace stove. The purpose of this research is to utilize diesel fuel as a substitute for kerosene in a furnace stove. In order to obtain the best diesel fuel performance, before the diesel fuel is used on a furnace stove, it is first processed with coconut shell charcoal adsorbent (5, 10, 15, 20, 25 gram) and charcoal (5, 10, 15, 20, 25 Gram), then separated adsorbents from diesel. The performance of diesel fuel is determined by the color of the flame and the time it takes to boil 1 Liter of water. In this research, it was found that diesel that has been treated with adsorbent can be used as substitute fuel of kerosene on the furnace stove. Solar prior to use is first processed with coconut shell charcoal adsorbent and wood charcoal. The best diesel performance on wood charcoal adsorbent is 5 grams with blue flame color and takes 06.23 minutes to boil 1 liter of water, whereas on coconut shell charcoal adsorbent is 15 grams with yellow blue flame color and takes 05.14 minutes to boil 1 Liter water. The best performance is on the addition of wood charcoal adsorbent is 5 grams. This fuel has density characteristics of 0.82 g / m3, viscosity 2.01 mm2 / s, flash point 450C and heat value 46.509 MJ / kg.
