Pengaruh Variasi Jumlah Lempeng Magnesium Az91terhadap Kinerja Unit Pembangkit Listrik Portable Katoda-Anoda

Crisis Fuel, which swept the world as a result of the high demand for oil and depleting oil reserves, this is the case also in Indonesia. Portable Power Plant Unit is one alternative that is very useful to generate energy for the people of Indonesia. The purpose of this research was to generate electrical energy using variations of the amount of AZ91 Magnesium plate on the performance of portable power generation units. This research will be developed by using a portable power plant design tool that AZ91 Magnesium plates as anode, metal cell MAB5A as cathode and NaCl as an electrolyte solution. Variations to this study is the Number plate Magnesium AZ91 6 to 10 pieces and NaCl solution with concentrate of 10% as a fixed variation. The series will be connected to the multitester to determine how much voltage to generated and will be linked also to the 10 watt LED lamp (with load) to determine how long the LED lights. The maximum load voltage is obtained from 10 pieces plates of 11.25 volts and timing lights for 31 hours while the minimum load voltage obtained 6 pieces plates of 5.23 volts and a lights for 6 hours. AZ91 Magnesium plate number variation affects performance of portable power generation units due to the increasing of Magnesium AZ91 pieces plates used in the unit to produce voltage bigger as well.
