Kandungan Bahan Organik Limbah Cair Sagu Di Perairan Pesisir Desa Tanjung Peranap Kecamatan Tebing Tinggi Barat Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti Provinsi Riau
There were many sago industries in the coastal area of the Tebing Tinggi Village that directly flow their liquid waste to open waters and thus pollute the waters. To understand the organic pollutant concentration based on COD and TOM parameters, a research was conducted on March-April 2017. Sampling was conducted in four stations, in the sago industry drainage canal (St 1), in the outlet of the drainage (S2) and in the coastal area, 250 m left and right sides of the outlet (St3 and St4). Results shown that in the 1st station, the COD was 14,400 mg/l and the TOM was 351.92 mg/l. In the 2nd station, during the high tide, the COD was 228 mg/l and the TOM 60.04, while that of the low tide was 244 mg/l and 61.32 mg/l respectively. In the 3rd station, during the high tide the COD was 194.7 mg/l and the was TOM 50.09 mg/l, while those of the low tide was 58.86 mg/l and 48.34 mg/l. In the 4th station, during the high tide the was COD 181.4 mg/l and the TOM was 48.87, while those of the low tide was 209 mg/l and 58.6 mg/l respectively. Based on data obtained, it can be concluded that the sago industry liquid waste pollute the coastal area of the Tanjung Peranap Village.
