Status Trofik Danau Maninjau Kecamatan Tanjung Raya Kabupaten Agam Provinsi Sumatera Barat Berdasarkan Indeks Trix
There were several methods to understand the trophical state of waters, such as chemical, biological and combination of chemical and biological methods. The combination method, namely the TRIX method is more representative for predicting the trophical state of the water and thus it was used to analyze the trophical state of the Maninjau Lake waters. This research was conducted in Januari – March 2017. There were 4 stations namely station 1 (bay area), station 2 (inlet area), station 3 (fish floating cages area), and station 4 (outlet area). In each station, the water were sampled from 3 different depths, in the surface (0.5 m), 2 secchi depth (1.3 m) and4 secchi depth (2.6 m). Sampling were taken once/2 weeks for 1.5 months period. Water quality parameters measured were DIN(Dissolved Inorganic Nitrogen), total posphorus, dissolved oxygen, chlorophyll-a, temperature,transparency and pH. Results shown that the DIN was 0.77 – 5.67 mg/L, total phosphorus 0.08 – 0.34 mg/L, oxygen saturation 0 – 108.8%, chlorophyll-a 3.47 – 105.4 mg/m3, temperature 26 – 290C, transparency 45 – 78 cm, and pH 6.5 – 7.9. Based on the TRIX index value, the water ofthe Maninjau lake can be categorized as eutrophic to hipereutrophic.
