Daya Dukung Danau Maninjau Berdasarkan Oksigen Terlarut Di Kecamatan Tanjung Raya Kabupaten Agam Provinsi Sumatera Barat
The fish mass mortality often occurred in the Maninjau Lake as the oxygen level as well as the carrying capacity of the lake may not be able to support the life of the cultured fish. A research aims to determine carrying capacity of the lake based in dissolved oxygen has been conducted on January to March 2017. There were 4 stations; 2 stations were in the inlet area (Pandan and Sigiran) and 2 stations were in outlet area (Bayur and Muko-muko). In each station, the water were sampled from the surface (0,5 m), 2 secchi depth (1,3 m), 4 secchi depth (2,6 m) and in the bottom of the lake. Water quality parameters measured were dissolved oxygen, BOD5, nitrate, phosphate, NH4, pH, temperature and transparency. Results shown that the carrying capacity in the inlet area was 3,388 units and in the outlet area was 2,272 units of floating cage. Based on data obtained, it can be concluded that the Maninjau Lake is overloaded by the fish floating cages.
Key words: Maninjau lake, Carrying capacity, Fish Floating Cages, Dissolved oxygen.
