Konvergensi Metode Prediktor- Korektor Berdasarkan Aturan Kuadratur Untuk Menemukan Akar Sederhana Persamaan Nonlinear
This final project discusses the predictor-corrector method based on
quadrature rules for solving a nonlinear equation. The special cases of the
discussed methods are Midpoint Newton quadrature method and Trapezoid
Newton quadrature method. These methods have respectively two and three
function evaluations per iteration. Convergence analysis shows that both
iterative methods have the order of convergence 1 +
√
2, so that the efficiency
indexes of Midpoint Newton quadrature method and Trapezoid Newton
quadrature methods are respectively 1.5538 and 1.3415. Furthermore, the
numerical simulation shows that the predictor-corrector methods are not
significant difference with Newton method, Midpoint Newton, Trapezoid
Newton in terms of the number iteration to obtain a root. However Midpoint
Newton quadrature method is more efficient compare to other methods in its
class.
