Mempelajari Pengaruh Reaksi Hidrolisis Pada Proses Pembuatan Biodiesel Dari Lemak Ayam
Biodiesel is an alternative fuel that is similar to diesel. Previously many biodiesel developed using raw materials of vegetable oil, but for raw materials using animal fat is still not widely developed. One of animal fat that can be used as raw material for making biodiesel is chicken fat. In this study chicken fat will pass through the hydrolysis stage before transesterification into biodiesel. esearch was done by extracting chicken fat at 800C for 5 hours. The oil that has been obtained is then tested for its physical and chemical properties and then hydrolyzed by using hydrochloric acid catalyst with variation of catalyst concentration 8 N, 10 N and pure HCl. The oil obtained was then transesterified into biodiesel with a KOH catalyst for 1 hour. From the research conducted The largest biodiesel yield is found in the oil through the hydrolysis stage with the catalyst concentration of 8 N that is equal to 76%. Based on the physical properties of biodiesel such as the color, density and moisture content of biodiesel produced have met Indonesian national standard 04-7182-2006. The calorific value of biodiesel produced is 9146 cal/gr with flash point 1600C.
