The blacksmith industry in Kuantan Hilir sub-district is one of the centers of the blacksmith industry in Kuantan Singingi Regency. This study aims to analyze the feasibility of business, describe business profile, and analyzes the development strategy of the blacksmith industry in Kuantan Hilir Subdistrict Kuansing District.
The population of this research is all business units of blacksmith industry in Kuantan Hilir Subdistrict, amounting to 10 business units. The research variables include the profiles of the blacksmith industry, business feasibility and development strategies of the blacksmith industry in Kuantan Hilir sub-district. Data collection method used is questionnaire and interview method. Descriptive analysis method, quantitative and qualitative with data analysis tool used is descriptive analysis, business feasibility analysis and SWOT analysis.
Based on the feasibility analysis of the blacksmith industry in Kuantan Hilir District shows the value of NPV of Rp. 68.376.301,02, BCR of 1.3538 and IRR of 19,1S%. Based on the results of SWOT analysis, the business of the blacksmith industry has an advantage in productivity and human resources, and the weakness in the lack of product promotion so that marketing is less than the maximum. The blacksmith industry in Kuantan Hilir District has a high enough market opportunity. But the lack of attention from the government poses a threat in terms of competition with other regional blacksmith industry. The conclusion that can be drawn is the business of blacksmith industry in Kuantan Hilir District is still feasible.
The suggestion that can be given is for the blacksmith industry in Kuantan Hilir Subdistrict is to add product design and promotion of blacksmith industry product in Kuantan Hilir Subdistrict still need to be improved so that the market can be expanded and more and more consumers are interested in expanding the print and electronic media. The government must seriously support the blacksmith industry in Kuantan Hilir sub-district in order to continue to run and develop more by providing capital, equipment and training.
