Strategi Pengembangan Industri Kecil Di Kota Pekanbaru ( Subsektor Industri Kecil Konveksi )
This study aims to determine internal and external factors in the convection industry in Pekanbaru City and to know what strategy should be done in developing small convection industry in Pekanbaru City in order to survive and keep competing in the market. The data used in this research is secondary data and primary data, where secondary data comes from the Department of Industry and Trade Pekanbaru City and Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) Pekanbaru City and primary data sourced from questionnaires and interviews with respondents.
Data analysis method used in this research is descriptive quantitative analysis method by analyzing the strategic factors of small convection industry and SWOT analysis
From the SWOT analysis diagram, shows how small convection business in Pekanbaru City has a strategy in facing problems in internal and external environment. Where this strategy is in quadrant 1 (aggressive strategy). The strategy to be implemented under these conditions is to support an aggressive growth policy. This aggressive strategy focuses more on the SO (strength-force) strategy, by using the power to exploit the opportunities. The SO (strength-opportunity) strategy is the efficiency of production process time, product quality improvement, and additional capital in technology and labor to optimize business activities and maintain good relationships and customer loyalty.
