Analisis Faktor – Faktor Yangmempengaruhi Tingkat Konsumsi Air Pada Masyarakat Di Kelurahan Selatpanjang Kota Kecamatan Tebing Tinggi Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti

This research was based on by the existence of the phenomenon of drought caused wholly withered clean water sources in kelurahan Selatpanjang kota Subdistrict Tebing Tinggi, Kepulauan Meranti. The purpose of this research is to find out and analyze the influence of total member of family and income of water consumption in the dry season in kelurahan selatpanjang kota subdsitrict tebing tinggi kepulauan meranti. The data collected through the questionnaire method using purposive sampling. Total of respondents in this research amounted to 96 respondent. Then carried out the method that includes F test, t tests, and determination coefficient (R2), Data analysis was done used SPSS software version 19.00. Based on the results of the tests performed with t tests on each variable so it can be concluded that total member of family (86,521) significant effect of water consumption, while the income (-0,946) does not affect a significant number of variables total water consumption. The simultaneous test test (F) number of dependents and income has a significant impact on the level of water consumption in the dry season. The greatness of R2 0,988 means 98,8% percent of the influence of the level of water consumption can be explained by the independent variable (number of dependents and income) and the remaining 3.6 percent explained other variables outside the model. From the research done by researchers, government need to rebuild government infrastructure providing clean water in kelurahan of selat Panjang kota and the manufacturer/seller of clean water needs to improve and maintain the quality of clean water, pressing operational costs, and set a price that is affordable to the General people kelurahan selatpanajng kota.
