Gambaran Pengetahuan Dan Sikap Pasien Tb Paru Di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Sidomulyo Kota Pekanbaru Terhadap Pencegahan Penularan Penyakit TB

Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium
tuberculosis, which remains a global health threat. Pulmonary TB is still a
serious health problem with incidence rates are quite high ie 0,4 % population of
Indonesia in 2013. Pulmonary TB can be contained and prevented if people have
knowledge and a good attitude so it will help to prevent and eradicate of TB
disease. The purpose of this study was to describe the knowledge and attitude of
TB patients in work area of Puskesmas Sidomulyo Kota Pekanbaru to prevent
transmission of TB disease.This study was a descriptive quantitative.The study
was conducted in June 2016. The instrument used was a questionnaire about
knowledge and attitudes. The number of respondents were 32 patients of TB who
were registered on the form of TB 06 in Puskesmas Sidomulyo Kota Pekanbaru
and it has been met inclusion criteria of study. Results showed that sex
characteristic of patients were predominantly male as many as 23 people (71,9%)
and the most productive among patients aged 18-40 years as many as 20 people
(62,5%). Characteristics by education level showed as many as 20 patients (62,5
%) was high school graduates and 90,6% had undergone treatment ≥ 2 months.
The number of respondents who have a quite good level of knowledge about
tuberculosis as many as 16 people (50 %). Based on the attitudes there was a
positive attitude as many as 30 people (93,75%)
