Biomassa Fitoplankton Berdasarkan Biovolume Di Danau Diatas Kabupaten Solok Provinsi Sumatera Barat
The biomass of phytoplankton is an important factor for describing the accumulation of nutrients in the aquatic systems. The calculation of phytoplankton biovolume is an effective method predict the phytoplankton biomass. A research aims to understand the biomass of phytoplankton based on biovolume in the Diatas Lake has been conducted in February - Mei 2017. Water samples were taken from 3 stations, namely Station 1 (inlet area), Station 2 (in the middle of the lake) and Station 3 (outlet area).Vertical sampling was based on transparency, in the surface, 2 Secchi depth (7 m), and 4 Secchi depth (14 m). Water quality parameter measured were temperature, transparency, pH, nitrate, phosphate, dissolved oxygen and carbon dioxide. Results shown that there were 4 classes of phytoplankton, namely Bacillariophyceae (8 spesies), Chlorophyceae (9 spesies), Cyanophyceae (3 spesies), and Rhodophyceae (1 spesies). The phytoplankton biomass in the surface was 11.0786 μg/L, in 2 Secchi depth was 7.0204 μg/L, 4 Secchi depth was 8.4647 μg/L. Water quality parameter values were as follow : temperature 18˚C–20˚C, transparency 3.04 – 3.24 m, pH 6, nitrate 0.032– 0.069 mg/L, phosphate 0.04-0.18 mg/L, dissolved oxygen 6.4-7.1 mg/L, carbon dioxide 6.4-8.1 mg/L.
