Hidrolisis Kertas Hvs Bekas Menjadi Glukosa Menggunakan Variasi Konsentrasi Asam Sulfat Dan Waktu Hidrolisis
Biomass is an interesting source of energy to developed since its abundance and renewable properties. One of the sources of biomass is used paper. It can be utilized into glucose by hydrolysis process because it has holocelluloses. The aim of this study was to convert the used paper to glucose by using hydrolysis process with employed sulphuric acid as a catalyst, to determine the effect of sulphuric acid concentration and hydrolyses time on glucose produced as well as yield of glucose. This research used varied concentration (1, 2, 3 N) for 60, 120 and 180 minutes. Hydrolysis time and acid concentration were on the line with the glucose’s concentration, as a fact that the higher hydrolysis time, the higher amount of glucose be converted and the higher yield show. In this study, the highest glucose and yield was obtained at 3 N sulphuric acid concentration for 180 minutes were 21550 mg/l and 43,1%.
