Pemanfaatan Logam Dari Circuit Printer Bekas Untuk Pembangkit Listrik Portabel
Galvani cells are one of the alternative energy sources that can convert chemical reaction into electrical energy. The purpose of this research is to utilize electronics scraps (Cannon ip 1680) for electrochemical cells by using variation of lime juice concentration (ie 1%, 3%, 5%, 7%, and 9%) with electrode pair (1 to 8 pairs). In this study, the power generating unit consists of circuit printers scraps as cathode and iron plate as anode with lime juice as an electrolyte solution. Cell performance is measured by a multitester equipment. The results show that electrochemical cells from used printers can generate 0.725 Volts of electrical power maximally by using a concentration of 9% lime juice and 8 pairs of electrodes, while for the smallest electric power of 0.392 Volt by using a concentration of lime juice of 1%.
