Hubungan Kecerdasan Emosional Dan Pengetahuan Manajemen Dengan Efektivitas Kepemimpinan Kepala SMP Se Kabupaten Siak

This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence, management knowledge and the effectiveness of principal’s leadership, both partially and jointly. The subject of this study was all junior ,,mhigh school principals in The Siak District wich consisted of 14 subdistrict with a population of 78 headmaster. The data was collected using questionnaires and test of emotional intelligence and management knowledge. The Validity of the instrument was tested using the Pearson product moment correlation formula. Instrument reliability is calculated using Cronbach Alpha formula. The results of this study indicate that ; First, There is a Positive and significant relationship between emotional intelligence (X1). With leadership effectiveness (Y) indicated by the coefficient of determination (ry1)2 = 0,323. Secondly, there is a positive and significant relationship between management knowledge (X2) and leadership effectiveness (Y). With a coefficient of determination (ry2)2 = 0,359. Third, there is a relationship between emotional intelligence (X1) and management knowledge (X2) together with leadership effectiveness (Y) with correlation coefficients (ry12)2 = 0,451
