This study aims to analyze the planning, implementation and implementation of a follow-up plan for academic supervision in SMP 5 Tapung in the 2018/2019 academic year. The results of the study showed 1) The planning program used in managing academic supervision at SMP Negeri 5 Tapung was carried out by coordinating through meetings with all teachers to determine the basis or foundation in preparing supervision plans, arranging a schedule of academic supervision plans, understanding the objectives of supervision. done later. With guidance on educational calendars made by school principals and preparing books as needed supporting facilities. The real activities are in the formulation of academic supervision programs, implementation of learning and evaluation and follow-up plans. While the mechanism through teacher meetings is to socialize the academic supervision program that will be carried out by the principal. 2) The implementation of academic supervision carried out by the Principal at Tapung 5 Middle School uses structured steps and the planned implementation time so that later it will be able to produce maximum and optimal supervision results. 3) Based on the observation of the Principal in follow up on the implementation of academic supervision of course carried out in as much detail as possible. This is done so that the results obtained later can be as perfect as desired. Similarly, in overcoming obstacles in the implementation of academic supervision at Tapung 5 Middle School the principal must be able to deal with it as much as possible. Follow-up on the academic supervision of the principal in Tapung 5 Public Middle School is to provide feedback to the teacher in both the instrument notes and direct and indirect guidance to the teacher and guidance through school meetings and reflection.
