Persepsi Masyarakat Mengenai Pelaksanaan Peran Perawat Puskesmas Di Pekanbaru
Nursing services have an important role in the implementation of health services in hospitals and health centers. The success of services at the Puskesmas is very dependent on performance and the role of nurses in implementing nursing services. Nurses at the Puskesmas have six roles and functions, namely as nurse service providers, case inventors, as educators, coordinators and collaborators, advisors, as role models. Optimizing the role of nurses is needed where nurses as the first person in the health service order must carry out their roles and functions. This study aims to look at public perceptions regarding the implementation of the nurse role of the Puskesmas in Pekanbaru in 2019. The design of this study used a simple descriptive survey method. The sample of this study amounted to 100 respondents taken from 5 health centers based on inclusion criteria that used cluster sampling techniques to analyze data using univariate analysis. The results showed that the community had a positive perception of several nurse roles, namely as the inventor of the case the community had a positive perception of 71%, the role of the nurse as coordinator and collector was 69% and the role of the nurse as an educator was 67%. Some people have a negative perception of nursing services as much as 50%. It is expected that the Puskesmas nurses can improve the implementation of the role of nurses that researchers perceive by the community and expand the role of nurses that have not been implemented properly.
