Desain Sistem Pengisian Baterai Berbasis Solar Sel Menggunakan Regulator Mppt

Using of solar cell systems to produce electrical power has an uncertain output power which causes a reduction in power efficiency during the battery charging process, because it is not constant and is strongly influenced by the solar cell input value conditions. To overcome the problem of uncertain power output, this research will propose a model of solar cells to continue to produce maximum power with varying conditions for solar cell input. System modeling carried out on Matlab/Simulation will use the Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) method and will look for solar cell work points where solar cells are able to produce maximum power and make the solar cells work at that maximum point. One type of MPPT is the Incremental Conductance Method (ICM). This research will observe the process of charging a 6.5Ah battery capacity for a 100 Watt solar cell panel energy source. In the process of charging a battery with a real charging time of 30 minutes resulting from the addition of the State of Charge (SOC) of batteries by 0.05%. By utilizing the MPPT ICM method the simulation test results obtained the value of the output power is 87.37 Watt while the simulation test results without using the MPPT ICM obtained the output power value is 37.06 Watt. The comparison of output power efficiency utilizing MPPT ICM is 88.37% while without using MPPT ICM is 37.07%.
