Kontribusi Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah Dan Motivasi Kerja Terhadap Kinerja Guru SMP Negeri Kecamatan Kabun
This research aimed to find out the contribution of (1) the school principal’s leadership and job motivation towards teachers’ work performance, (2) job motivation towards teachers’ performance and (3) both principal’s leadership and job motivation towards teachers’ work performance. The respondents of the research were state junior high school teachers (SMPN) in Kabun Sub-district, Rokan Hulu District totaling 75 teachers. The sample was taken by employing proportional random sampling technique and the data were collected using a set of questionnaire and secondary data of teachers’ performance assessment. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, inferential statistics and hypothesis testing. The instrument coefficient reliability was counted by employing Alpha Cronbach formula.
The findings of the research provided the evidence that there was a contribution of the school principal’s leadership towards the teachers’ work performance as much as 0,938, and there was a contribution of job motivation towards the teacher’s performance as much as 0,978. In addition, both school principals’ leadership and job motivation also contributed to the teachers’ work performance as much as 0,990.
