Conservation of Sialang tree as honey bee habitat through farmer groups requires awareness and participation of people (farmers around the forest). If the decline in the number of Sialang trees occurred continuously then feared the next few years will not be found again this Sialang tree. For that it is necessary to do conservation efforts against the tree Sialang as a honey bee habitat by various parties both the community, government and private institutions related in it. Public interaction in his life around the national park gained attention from many parties. The existence of the National Park with high germplasm content encourages many Parties to take advantage of it. Along with that, conservation efforts are an issue that has been raised from interested parties with the existence of the National park. Community welfare, conflicts of interest, elephant attacks, forest fires, and the aspect of improving the economic level of society in relation to the management of national parks are the things that highlight all stakeholders with National Park. From observation shows there is a decline in the number of honey farmers annually. This condition is likely to be influenced by the number of beehive trees that are reduced annually, when the tree of Beehive is the main habitat of honeybees.
The purpose of this research is to know the level of community participation in the conservation of Sialang tree as honey bee habitat in Tesso Nilo National Park Riau Province and analyze age factor, education, experience, program conformity, attention Related service and benefit of the program on community participation in the conservation of the Sialang tree as a honey bee habitat in Tesso Nilo National Park Riau Province. The research approach uses a quantitative approach with survey methods. The research time was conducted from September 2018 to April 2019.
Based on the results of the research is known that the level of community participation in the conservation of Sialang tree as honey bee habitat in Tesso Nilo National Park Riau Province which is classified as high in aspects of implementation and utilization of results. Community participation in the conservation of Sialang tree as a honey bee habitat in Tesso Nilo National Park Riau Province which is classified as a aspect of planning and assessment.
There is no age influence, education and benefit of the program on community participation in the conservation of Sialang tree as a honey bee habitat in Tesso Nilo National Park Riau Province. Conversely, there is a significant influence between the experience, the conformity of the program and the attention of related agencies to the participation of communities in the conservation of Sialang trees as a honey bee habitat in Tesso Nilo National Park Riau Province.
