Strategi Pengembangan Pariwisata Di Kabupaten Siak

Siak Regency has a very promising tourism potential, both from the factor of geographical wealth and historical heritage sites, this is due to the historical fact that there was once one of the most famous Malay kingdoms ever in power in this area, which until now the site of the Siak royal palace is still stands firm as a witness of history. Similarly, other historic sites from ancient colonial invaders. This has become one of the focuses of the Siak Regency Government in developing the region and developing its tourism sector.
The Siak government has built the tourism sector with various infrastructure improvements and tourism promotion. The purpose of this research is to identify tourism development strategies that have been carried out by the Siak Regency government and measure what internal and external factors support and hinder the development of the tourism sector. The research method uses a qualitative approach using SWOT analysis and sampling techniques using existential sampling.
The results of the study in examining the strategies adopted are by building relationships between the government and the community to be able to create good synergy, continuing to develop sites of historical potential that remain unexplored. Utilize information technology and increase coordination with the private sector in the promotion and development of the tourism sector. The government also needs to try to continue to develop tourism potential by taking into account the inhibiting factors and continue to support the things that are considered potential from this research so that the tourism potential can be optimized and tourist visits can continue to be improved.
