Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Matematika Berbasis Komputer Model Tutorial Interaktif Untuk Meningkatkan Motivasi Dan Hasil Belajar Matematika Peserta Didik Kelas X Pada Materi Program Linear
This research is motivated by the application of the content of 2013 curriculum in education using the active learning method. The application is also related to the demands Of teachers and students to master the science and technology (Science and Technology) in order to improve and develop students' thinking skills. The use of computer technology is not a new case in education field. The availability of computer labor in schools can be used as a facility in the learning and teaching process. The advantages of computer in storing, data-processing and animations-making will be able to motivate students to learn mathematics, especially in the Linear Program material.
The aims of this study was to develop mathematics learning media based on Information Communication and Technology (ICT) which are valid, practical and effective in helping the students understand the material. The results of development research can provide benefits that increase motivation and mathematics learning results of students.
This research used Borg & Gall model that has been modified by Sugiyono. The first step of media development is determining the potentials and problems that have been formulated and analyzed. Second, collecting the information by conduct a literature study. Third, the product design are carried out in two stages, making paper based design and then continued with computer based. The program that used to design computer based products is Microsoft Power Point. After the experts revised the validation of the media with some comments and suggestions, a trial was then conducted. The trial was conducted in two stages: small group trials with 10 subjects and large group trials with 23 subjects that participated by the students of Pekanbaru high school.
The result of the material validation is 3.42 in average with good criteria so that the learning media was valid or worth testing. The result of the media validation was 3.36 in averaged with good criteria so that the learning media was also valid. Based on the questionnaires of students in small group trial it can be concluded that the ICT-based mathematics learning media on the Linear Program material has a very good readability level with an average of 3.45. Whereas for large group trials the readability test results were 3.18. It can be concluded that the learning media is efficient.
The effectiveness test was done by seeing the motivation and learning results in mathematics after using learning media. The results of the learning motivation questionnaire showed that students' motivation to learn mathematics increased after using learning media. The analysis of student learning results also increased after using learning media.
