Kontribusi Kecerdasan Emosional Dan Sikap Inovatif Terhadap Kinerja Kepala Sekolah Taman Kanak-Kanak Di Kota Dumai
The purpose of the results of this study was to determine whether there was a positive contribution to emotional intelligence and innovative attitudes towards the performance of the Kindergarten Principal in Dumai City. The research was conducted in kindergarten in Dumai City. The sample in the study was the Head of Kindergarten in Dumai City as many as 57 respondents, the determination of the sample used a survey method with Simple Random Sampling technique. Data analysis using descriptive quantitative. This technique was carried out to analyze the contribution between two independent variables, namely Emotional Intelligence (X1), Innovative Attitudes (X2), with one dependent variable, Principal Performance (Y). The item validity was tested using the Product Moment formula and the instrument reliability coefficient was calculated using the Cronbach Alpha formula.
The results of the study concluded 1) There was a contribution of emotional intelligence to the performance of the Principal. Emotional intelligence contributed 16.57% to the performance of the Kindergarten (TK) Principal in Dumai City, meaning that the better emotional intelligence the better the performance of the Principal. 2) There was an innovative contribution to the performance of the Principal. Innovative attitude contributed 16.24% to the performance of the Kindergarten (TK) Principal in Dumai City, meaning that the better the innovative attitude the better the performance. 3) There was a contribution of emotional intelligence and innovative attitudes together towards the performance of the Kindergarten (TK) Principal in Dumai City. Emotional intelligence and innovative attitude together contributed 42.9% to the performance of the Kindergarten (TK) Principal in Dumai City
