Kontribusi Disiplin Kerja Dan Locus Of Control Terhadap Kinerja Guru PNS SMP Negeri Kecamatan Sukajadi Pekanbaru
One of the problem that influance the quality of basiceducation in Indonesia is the teacher factor. Education experts say that there will be no change or an increase in the quality of education without any change and quality improvement teachers. Every attempt was made to establish and improve the quality of education should involve structuring and discipline teacher. In primary junior high school of Sukajadi subdistrict Pekanbaru there are still many teachers who collect the task is not at predeterminined time, teachers do not master the work that has been charged, teachers carry out his taks is not in accordance with the profession, so the work discipline and locus of control contribution toward to the teachers performance in junior high school of Sukajadi subdistrict Pekanbaru. The purpose of this research is to know about the contribution between variables (1) the amount of the teachers work discipline contribution toward to the teachers performance in junior high school of Sukajadi subdistrict Pekanbaru, (2) the amount of the teacher’s locus of control contribution toward to the teachers performance in junior high school of Sukajadi subdistrict Pekanbaru, (3) work discipline and locus of control contribution together toward to the teachers performance in junior high school of Sukajadi subdistrict Pekanbaru. This research carried out by spreading the instruments for 93 teachers PNS in junior high school of Sukajadi subdistrict Pekanbaru by using proportionate random sampling technique. The instrument used to collect the data of all variables using the questionnaire. Validity was tested using Pearson product moment formula. Instrument reliability coefficient was calculated using Cronbach alpha formula. The results showed a positive relationship between: (1) There is a positive teachers work discipline contribution toward teacher performance in junior high school of Sukajadi subdistrict Pekanbaru with a was 27,4%. (2) There is a positive locus of control contribution toward teacher performance in junior high school of Sukajadi subdistrict Pekanbaru was 45,9%. (3) There is a positive teachers work discipline and locus of control contribution toward teacher performance in junior high school of Sukajadi subdistrict Pekanbaru was 51,3%. The results of this study are expected to be useful for the improvement and enhancement of teacher performance in junior high school of Sukajadi subdistrict Pekanbaru by increasing work discipline and locus of control.
