Pengaruh Komunikasi Dan Lingkungan Sosial Terhadap Prestasi Akademik Melalui Komitmen Pada Mahasiswa Magister Manajemen Universitas Riau

This study aims to analyze the influence caused by Communication and Social Environment on Student Commitment and Academic Achievement. The study population was 248 people.
The sampling technique is done by purposive sampling which produces 155 students as research samples. The data analysis technique of this research was carried out with Path Analysis or path analysis using SPSS Version 3.0 software.
The results of the study concluded that Interpersonal Communication has a positive and significant effect on Student Commitment, Social Environment has a positive and significant effect on Student Commitment then Interpersonal Communication has a positive and significant effect on Academic Achievement, Social Environment has a positive and significant effect on Academic Achievement and Interpersonal Communication has a Positive and Significant Effect on Academic Achievement through Student Commitment and Social Environment has a positive and significant effect on Academic Achievement through Student Commitment.
This study recommends Postgraduate Masters of Management students to be able to improve Interpersonal Communication, the social environment, because it can directly increase student commitment and better academic achievement in the future. This study also recommends that students be able to improve interpersonal communication and the social environment by being mediated by student commitments that will indirectly improve employee academic achievement.
