Strategi Pengembangan Pengelolaan Taman Hutan Raya (Tahura) Sultan Syarif Hasyim Yang Berkelanjutan Di Provinsi Riau

Tahura Sultan Syarif Hasyim can become the center of ecotourism attraction because in additing to be close to the provincial capital of Riau, it also has a high diversity of flora and fauna species.Potential nature as a place of ecotourism with objects that form of natural forest. Some tourist activities that can be done include natural attractions. Cross country and camping. Tahura SSH as forest area with function of conservation area faced problem especially in handling of security of area from unscrupulous person seeking personal profit in area. Part of the total area of tahura is controlled by individuals or groups of companies.Tahura SSH can’t provide benefits and social, enviromental and economic balance.
The research was conducted in January until December 2016 which took Place at Tahura SSH, Lintas Pekanbaru – Dumai. The purpose of this research is to improve the development strategy of sustainable management of Tahura SSH,by using qualitative research methods and data collected by using primary sources and secondary sources. Primary sources are sources that directly provide data for data collection and secondary sources are sources that do not directly provide data for data collection. While the data collection thchnique is done by observation, interview, questionnaire and documentation.
Based on the result of research, the best alternative of Tahura SSH development strategy is to develop collaborative and interactive ecotourism conducted by government, entrepreneur and society (local commuties, NGOs ,tourist) so that the purpose of Tahura a natural conservation area, the collection of plants and animals that are used for the public interest for research, science and education can be achieved asmandated by Permen LHK No. 76/MenLHK-Setjen/2015, Perdaprov Riau No. 5/2015 dan Pergub Riau No.18/2016.
