Kandungan Karbon Di Perkebunan Kelapa Sawit Pada Lahan Gambut Di Desa Berumbung Baru Kecamatan Dayun Kabupaten Siak Provinsi Riau
Increasing the concentration of carbon in the atmosphere becomes one of the serious environmental problems that can affect the Earth's life system. Increased concentration occurs more due to the disruption of energy balance between the land and the atmosphere. Peat land clearing into a palm oil plantation land is known to cause the loss of carbon content such as carbon dioxide gas (CO2) to the atmosphere, resulting in an increase in atmospheric carbon concentrations and an increase in global warming, but in the other area of oil palm plantations is also needed to improve the community economy.
Research was conducted in February 2019 to April 2019 starting from equipment preparation, observation location determination, plot location determination and number of samples to be observed, crop sampling, drying samples, calculation and analysis of carbon content, analysis of data and preparation of research reports. The results of research and processing of data on carbon content research on oil palm in plot I, plot II and plot III as follows: Total carbon content in plot I of 24.91 tons/ha, total carbon content in plot II of 44.22 tons/ha and total carbon content in plot III of 68.86 ton/ha. The test of Anova on the acquisition of carbon content in the lower plant, the litter and oil palm plants contained in the plot I, plot II and plot III shows insignificant results. It can be interpreted as the results of Anova's test show that there is no difference in the acquisition of significant carbon content from plot I, plot II and plot III. The value of carbon benefit at the research site is Rp.18,904,630,-.
